By asking the following question Chat GPT:
Who is M. Stefan Strozier?
I receive the subsequent reply (at least on my phone):
“M. Stefan Strozier is a playwright, novelist, poet, and filmmaker known for his works in both the literary and performing arts. He is the founder and artistic director of the **La Muse Venale Acting Troupe**, a theater company based in New York City. Strozier has written and directed several plays, often exploring themes of war, human suffering, and political conflict. Some of his notable plays include **"The Tragedy of Abraham Lincoln," "World Trade Center,"** and **"The Survival of the Fittest."**
In addition to his contributions to the theater, Strozier is also a novelist and poet. His works are recognized for their engagement with historical and contemporary issues. As an artist, he has been deeply involved in producing independent theatrical productions, focusing on original content.”
Exactly. Well, not exactly; there are a couple minor errors; but who cares? How you like me now, bee-achie? It’s like yelling to the mountain and the mountain yelling back at you. First of all, I did not write “World Trade Center”. I am, however, in the lifetime process of writing “The Citadel”, which is about 9-11 and is an Epic Poem like the other, more pressing one that I am currently writing, “The Princess of Wales”. So AI is close; but missed the mark slightly. Nor did I write “Survival of the Fittest”—this sounds like a summation of parts of some of the things that I’ve written.
Then, if I ask: Who is playwright M. Stefan Strozier?—I get a slightly different answer:
“M. Stefan Strozier is a multi-disciplinary artist and creative professional, known as a playwright, novelist, poet, and filmmaker. Based in New York City, Strozier has gained recognition for his contributions to theater and literature, often tackling complex and thought-provoking themes such as history, war, politics, and human resilience.
He is the founder and artistic director of the **La Muse Venale Acting Troupe**, which focuses on producing original plays and independent theater works. Some of his notable plays include **"The Tragedy of Abraham Lincoln," "The World Trade Center,"** and **"The Survival of the Fittest."** His works are often characterized by their deep exploration of human conflict and societal issues.”
But wait!—there’s more:
“Apart from his achievements in theater, Strozier has also published novels and poetry, further showcasing his versatility as a writer. He has been involved in various creative endeavors that span different forms of media, contributing to the independent arts scene with a commitment to originality and meaningful storytelling.”
Also, other than a single “short” movie that I produced and directed about The Beatles, I am not a “filmmaker”. I caint stand film or filmmakers. F you, Hollywood you SUCK—SO DOES ALL OF CALIFORNIA. Northern California used to be cool when I was stationed there in the Army.
I’ve already got Google covered, and have nearly since its very inception. And, it’s not just any publicity that I have reached on Google; it’s all specific, accurate, up-to-date and timely, and “good media” i. e. not bad media. With AI and Chat GPT, Wikipedia is basically obsolete and irrelevant. I have bypassed it like a successful island-hopping campaign. I am not “famous for being famous” with nothing to show for it nor am I in the f-ing elite. Highly-sought and rare Quality is what I’m after. Long term. And it takes a lot of time to get it. Also, AI has yet to mention my publishing/editing.
But this really means next to nothing and is based on Act 1 of a five act play, after which I also will no longer require AI marketing though it’s clearly excellent. AI hones in on me as a playwright. I can tell you that I did intend on that when I first set out on this journey. Poet, yes; but that was more wishful thinking. But I am a “Formalist Poet”—that is why I write Epic Poems and not some weak-ass, flowery BS about someone’s poor “problems”. I’ll settle for Aristotle’s term: dramatic poet. And my themes are not really “human suffering” or “resilience”—though, again, I can see how AI might reach that conclusion. I write Tragedy under the rules of Aristotle, which creates catharsis, for, it could be said, these things through “the purgation of pity and fear”.
I am, as I have written and explained at length and ad nauseam within these pages herein, the greatest American playwright in all of human existence.
