A couple of days ago, General Jack Keane was on FOX TV and seemed to predict a military strike against Iran, and he voiced his support of such an operation. I am not sure if the general is in the military or not or if he still has a security clearance; but obviously such information would be a military secret. Sure enough, mere hours later an air strike against Iranian proxies fighting in Iraq was executed with precision. Secretary Pompeo announced the operation, along with the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs and the SECDEF (incidentally, they all served in the regular army in addition to their current positions; in this I am in full agreement. Please note that often the Navy is running our military, which includes the Marines; for instance, at the start of President Trump's Administration the SECDEF and Chairman were Marines.
